Il prossimo 6 agosto verrà pubblicata la anniversary edition di quello che molti fan e critici musicali ritengono sia il miglior lavoro solista di un ex Beatle: All things Must Pass di George Harrison.
Pubblicato originariamente il 27 novembre 1970, il triplo LP, prodotto da Phil Spector era stato definito dalla rivista americana Rolling Stone “la Guerra e Pace del rock and roll” e “una dichiarazione intensamente personale e un gesto grandioso”
Dhani Harrison, il figlio di George, ha dichiarato in occasione di questa edizione: “Abbiamo scavato tra montagne di nastri, e continuavano ad arrivare, scatole e scatole. Rendere il sound di questo album più pulito è sempre stato uno dei più grandi desideri di mio padre ed è stato qualcosa su cui abbiamo lavorato insieme fino alla sua morte. Con l’aiuto della nuova tecnologia e il lavoro di Paul Hicks su questo progetto, ora siamo in grado di farlo accadere. Non vediamo l’ora che tutti voi sappiate tutto ciò su cui abbiamo lavorato e la vostra pazienza sarà ricompensata”.
Il lavoro di remix è stato molto accurato e finalizzato a rendere piu presenti, più centrali, la voce di George e altri strumenti che in alcuni casi nel missaggio originale erano stati “oscurati” dal famoso riverbero di Phil Spector.
La nuova edizione sarà pubblicata, oltre che digitalmente, in vari formati quali Uber Deluxe Box Set, 8 LP, 5 LP, 3LP, 5 cd + blue ray, 3cd e 2cd.
